Each syringe contains:
- 250 mg Ampicillin (as the trihydrate)
- 500 mg Cloxacillin (as benzathine salt)
- Routine treatment of cows at drying off, eliminating the majority of existing infections and reducing the incidence of new infections.
- When the cause of infection is unidentified or where the presence of coliforms are suspected or known to be present as a problem on the farm.
Ampiclox Dry Cow is effective against Streptococci, penicillin resistant and sensitive Staphylococci, Corynebacterium pyogenes, Escherichia coli and other susceptible Gram-negative bacteria.

|At the final milking of a lactation, milk the cow normally. Clean and disinfect the teats using rubbing alcohol or iodophores or other suitable disinfectant. Infuse the contents of one syringe into each quarter by applying gentle and continuous pressure until all the suspension is expressed, and leave without milking. Wear clean rubber gloves when applying. After infusion, dip each teat in an approved disinfectant teat dip.|
Milk: DO NOT USE in lactating cows or within 30 days of calving. After calving, milk taken from treated cows MUST NOT BE USED for human consumption or supplied for processing for 96 hours (8 milkings). If premature or unscheduled calving occurs, consult the prescribing veterinarian for advice on handling milk for bobby calves.
Meat: DO NOT USE less than 30 days before slaughter for human consumption.
